I joined CrossFit Olentangy just after my 39th birthday because 'something had to change'. I worked out on my own for a little while but wasn't seeing any progress; probably because I told myself "I can't do burpees" or "I can't squat" so i just didn't. Since then, learned that i can do burpees, i can squat. I can do anything. I may not be the fastest or the strongest, but I can at least try it, then work at getting better at it. This feeling extended into 'real life' as well. If I can do 200 Wall Balls without dying, I can do anything. Having just turned 40, I'm stronger, happier, in better shape, have better confidence, and better friendships than i ever have had in my whole life.
